Mother Gives Birth to Quintuplets in Tigray Region's Abergele Woreda

A mother residing in Simret Kebele, Abergele Woreda of Central Tigray, has safely delivered quintuplets at Yechila Primary Hospital. According to healthcare professionals at the facility, the mother herself has a medical history of being born a twin, and this delivery marks her first childbirth. Medical staff reported that four of the five babies completed their full gestational growth prior to delivery. The fifth baby experienced developmental disruption after the fifth month and was born before fully completing growth. Currently, both the mother and all five infants are reported to be in good health and are receiving appropriate medical monitoring. However, health workers noted that the family lacks adequate income and resources to raise five children simultaneously, calling for community support.
