Addis Ababa Council Announces Reorganization of City Executive Bodies

The Addis Ababa City Council has approved an amendment to the proclamation governing the city's executive bodies. A major change includes the dissolution of the City Traffic Management Authority, with its responsibilities redistributed to the Transport Bureau, the Roads Authority, and a newly established Transport Management Center to address administrative fragmentation. Additionally, the Labor and Skills Bureau has been split into a Labor and Job Opportunity Bureau and a Technical and Vocational Training Bureau. The Culture and Arts Bureau was merged with the Tourism Commission to form a single Culture and Tourism Bureau. Other dissolved institutions include the Feeding Agency and the Addis Ababa Leadership Academy, with their mandates transferred to relevant bodies. These reforms aim to improve administrative efficiency and service delivery.
