18 Killed in Drone Attack on Jari No. 2 IDP Camp in South Wollo

A drone attack on the 'Jari No. 2' IDP camp in the Tehuledere district of South Wollo, Amhara Region, has killed 18 people, according to camp residents and hospital sources. The attack occurred on Thursday, with reports stating that at least four drones struck makeshift tents within the camp. The victims include children and pregnant women. Thirty-six injured people were transported to Hayk Primary Hospital, and 12 of the most seriously wounded were referred to Dessie Hospital. Government officials have not yet responded to requests for comment regarding the incident.
