Ethiopians Report Attacks and Threats in Somaliland, Puntland, and Somali Region

Ethiopians residing in Borama (Somaliland), Garowe (Puntland), and Jigjiga report targeted attacks and harassment following conflicts in Moyale. Residents in Borama stated that over 150 homes were looted or destroyed, forcing many ethnic Oromos to seek shelter at the local airport and other safe locations. Similar incidents of violence and intimidation are reported in Puntland and the Somali region, with victims claiming organized groups are targeting them based on their identity. While some local authorities in Awdal have reportedly detained suspects, the victims are calling on the Ethiopian government to intervene urgently and ensure their safety.
