Federal Trustee Administration Reports Progress in Tigray Reconstruction and Trade

Dr. Tewodros Aregay, Executive for Economy and Reconstruction of the federal trustee administration in Tigray, stated that efforts are underway to revitalize trade and stabilize the market in the region. Since its establishment, the administration has been working to restore damaged social and economic structures to help the public return to normal life. The executive noted that essential infrastructure and public services, which were halted due to the TPLF, are being restored, and temporary administrators have been assigned to facilitate these services.

He further explained that by collaborating with investors and banks, the supply of food and essential goods to the region is increasing. Public dialogue forums are addressing community concerns, and preparations are underway to expand the education sector, which has restarted in Mekelle, to other areas. The federal government remains focused on ensuring peace and accelerating reconstruction in the region, according to ENA.
