Oromia Bank has officially inaugurated an 11-story mixed-use building located within its Excellence and Convention Center in Gelan Sub-City, Sheger City. The inauguration ceremony was attended by high-ranking government officials, major bank shareholders, stakeholders, and invited guests. During the event, Teferi Mekonnen, CEO of Oromia Bank, highlighted the bank's 17-year history of success and its commitment to public benefit beyond standard banking services. He also expressed gratitude to the Mayor of Sheger City, Dr. Teshome Adugna, and local administrative bodies for providing land and supporting the construction process. Dr. Assefa Seme, Board Chairman of Oromia Bank, noted that the institution actively invests in socio-economic infrastructure alongside expanding financial accessibility. Guest of honor Sheikh Haj Ibrahim Tufa, President of the Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council, praised the bank for pioneering interest-free banking in Ethiopia. Mayor Dr. Teshome Adugna added that the new structure enhances Gelan's business opportunities and aligns with the government's smart city initiatives.
