Awareness forum held in Adigrat to reintegrate former combatants

An awareness forum was held in Adigrat to facilitate the Disarmament, Demobilization, and Reintegration (DDR) process for former combatants. Representatives from the National Rehabilitation Commission and other stakeholders attended the event to provide information about the initiative. Adigrat Mayor, Engineer Negasi Tewelde, stated that this process creates an opportunity for youth to transition away from combat and support themselves and their families. The city administration has pledged to provide the necessary support for former combatants to engage in various work opportunities and contribute to the city's development.
