32 Eritrean Nationals and 3 Human Traffickers Arrested in Arba Minch

Police in Arba Minch have arrested 32 Eritrean nationals along with three individuals suspected of human trafficking, including two facilitators and a driver. According to Arba Minch City Police Commander Kebebew Adal, the group originated from central Ethiopia and was attempting to illegally cross into Kenya via Arba Minch, Konso, and Jinka. Security forces carried out the operation in Seqela sub-city, Nech Sar Kebele, discovering the group hiding in a ground-floor hall of a local establishment following community tip-offs. The detained Eritrean citizens comprise 11 men, 14 women, and seven children. Police also impounded a Highroof vehicle with license plate Code 3-23042 A.A. used for the transport. Investigations are currently ongoing, and the individuals are being transferred to the regional police command for further legal action.
