Two civilians killed in Kore Zone

Two civilians were killed by armed men in the Gobe Kebele of Gorka Woreda, Kore Zone, in the Southern Ethiopia region. The victims were traveling on a motorcycle to Kele city when they were attacked in the Bokoso area. Local residents and the Kore Zone police commander confirmed that the attackers came from the West Guji Zone. The head of the West Guji Zone Peace and Security Department, Ayele Damba, stated that the area is active with the OLF-Shene group and that government forces are taking measures against them. Kore Zone officials expressed frustration over the lack of a permanent solution to the persistent insecurity in the region.
