Education and Training Authority Issues Warning on Higher Education Admission Requirements

The Education and Training Authority of Ethiopia has issued a notice regarding admission requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Undergraduate applicants must meet the official national university cut-off point set by the Ministry of Education for the academic year. Graduates from Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions must hold a Level 4 diploma (or former 10+3 / 12+2) in their field and provide proof of passing the COC Level 4 assessment. Postgraduate (Master's) applicants are required to submit an accredited bachelor's degree certificate and achieve a passing score on the National Graduate Admission Test (NGAT). Foreign educational credentials will only be valid after an equivalence evaluation is conducted by the Authority. The Authority warned that students and institutions proceeding outside these directives will bear full legal responsibility.
