Lt. Gen. Tsadkan Gebretensae Announces Retirement from Struggle

Lieutenant General Tsadkan Gebretensae has announced the conclusion of his armed struggle responsibilities during an interview with Tigray TV (TBS). Stating that "the time now belongs to our children and younger brothers," the General emphasized that power should be transferred to the new generation to allow democratic culture to flourish. He urged that all public grievances must henceforth be addressed solely through peaceful means, asserting that there are no remaining public issues that can be resolved through war. While he stated that his age and conscience will no longer permit him to take up arms with any organized force, he confirmed his readiness to serve in advisory and mediation roles whenever needed by Tigray.
