Attacks on Civilians Reported in Arsi Diocese

The Arsi Diocese Office has reported that repeated attacks are being carried out against civilians and Christians in districts under its jurisdiction. In addition to previous attacks in Marti and Shirka districts, the office noted that lives were lost following gunfire by armed groups in Endato Kebele, Robe district. H.E. Abune Elsae, Archbishop of Arsi and Jigjiga, expressed his deep sorrow over the escalating security crisis and urged the government to provide protection and lasting solutions. The Diocese's Chief Administrator, Bekure Teguhan Belete Hailemariam, also stressed that if the government does not act decisively to address these recurring issues, the situation will likely deteriorate further.
